Sri Lanka Broadcasting Corporation's (SLBC) Prime Time program “Liya Madala” (aired daily from 1:00 PM to 300 PM on Frequencies: MHz 93.3, 92.8, 96.4, 87.9, 106.9) Interviewed Kanishka, LIVE at 2:00 PM on Thursday August 9th. SLBC played a clip from his CD at the end of th interiew. They chated with Kanishka about the creative process and the collaborations that went in to launching his Debut album, Sri Lankan Open House Party.

Kanishka, Ganesha and Suresh have been making their mark on Sri Lankan Air waves in the recent past, with SLBC's “Madhu Rasanga” – a popular Listener's Request program (Frequencies: MHz 93.3,92.8,96.4,87.9,106.9 ) and “Hiru FM” (107.9 MHz) adding Sri Lankan Open House Party to their scheduled play list. Sri Lankan Open House Party is aired week nights between 7:00 PM and 8:00 PM on “Hiru FM”.

Two radio stations – Sri Lanka Broadcasting Corporation's (SLBC) Sinhala Commercial Service and “Hiru FM” (107.9 MHz) have added Sri Lankan Open House Party to their scheduled play list. “Hiru FM” has been playing Sri Lankan Open House Party week nights in their 7:00 PM to 8:00 PM time slot.

Sri Lankan Open House Party crew would like to thank all the fans in Sri Lanka who have been requesting the songs on radio stations.

Kanishka Ganesha and Suresh are currently working on their first joint venture “Sri Lankan Open House Party.” Being seasoned live performers, it was natural for the three musicians to make a Sri Lankan Dance CD with all time Greatest hits, before starting work on their original material for a music album. Suresh takes a break from his classical composing sphere to work on the high energy Sri Lankan dance tracks on Open House Party. (Suresh Maliyadde is one of the most sought after composers in Sri Lanka, who is well known for his classical and contemporary musical creations with Rohana Weerasinghe, Nirosha Virajini. Deepika Priyadarshani, Nelu Adhikari, Edward Jayakodi, Lakshman Wijesekera ... and the list goes on.)

A prominent ingredient of "Sri Lankan Open House Party" is the authentic baila sound unique to each song that resembles the music styles of each decade. Kanishka and Suresh, together selected the song and music format during a three month period. Music direction was done by Suresh himself. The session musicians who joined to do “Sri Lankan Open house Party” are the veterans in the Sri Lanakan Entertainment industry. The band member roster is a who's who of the music scene that include Drummer Niresh Perera (Gypsies), Lead Guitarist Mahinda Bandara (Fortunes), Bassist Tilak Dias (Formerly Gypsies), Rhythm Guitarist Milton Peris (Fortunes), Saxaphonist Jayantha Dissanayake (Fortunes) and Percussionist extraordinair "Vaadya Visharada" Manoj Peris. The rhythm tracks were laid in Sri Lanka under Suresh's musical Direction. Mariazelle Gunetilake and Malathi Athalage colored the female vocal tracks to conclude the first phase of the CD production in Sri Lanka. The digital tracks were shipped to Maryland, USA for the rest of the creative process. To add a tasteful western flair, featured in the CD is Rocker Guitarist Russell Ali (Universal Records®), from L.A. California. Russell's hot licks will come to life at Omega Sound Studios in Maryland where he will rondezvouse with the trio Kaniahka, Ganesha and Suresh. The entire male vocal section will be recorded at the same venue. Mixing and Mastering will follow with sound engineer Caleb Keiter at the console. Subsequently the finished pre glass master will be sent for duplication and packaging. This will conclude the creative phase of the CD. Nimo Biz Solutions International (Colombo, Sri Lanka), partnered with "Sri Lankan Open House Party" to complete the CD cover designs, media promotional material. The CD release date is tentatively set for November, 2006.

Different music appeal to different people. A tastefully done collection could be tolerated and enjoyed by everyone. Yet a conservative production could amount to a boring creation. But a bold attempt to be different while being edgy may limit the fan base to a captive audience. To the unknown listner, four musicians make a humble effort to reach accross the board to recreate a sound that is original and has proven to be tastefully everlasting. Take a moment to Listen…..
